Mosaic Elementary Chorus Shines at National Blue Ribbon Ceremony
On November 9, Mosaic Elementary had the incredible honor of representing the state of Virginia at the National Blue Ribbon Ceremony in Washington, D.C. Twenty-five of our talented 6th-grade students performed at this prestigious event, which celebrates excellence in education across the nation.
The performance, led by our music teachers, Mr. James, Mr. Stansbery, and Mrs. Kim, included a variety of songs and culminated with a powerful rendition of the National Anthem. Adding to the excitement, one of our own 6th graders introduced the keynote speaker, U.S. Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel Cardona.
This special day marks another proud moment for Mosaic Elementary, which was awarded the National Blue Ribbon distinction two years ago. The recognition is a testament to the dedication of our students, staff, and families in fostering a culture of excellence and community.
If you missed the event, you can view the full ceremony, including the chorus performance and the introduction of Dr. Cardona, on the official U.S. Department of Education YouTube channel (link below; chorus performance begins about two minutes into the video).
Congratulations to our incredible 6th-grade chorus members and the entire Mosaic Elementary community for this remarkable achievement!
