Mosaic Honors Veterans
On Thursday, November 7, Mosaic Elementary celebrated Veterans Day with a special assembly—our first big event in the newly renovated gym! It was a meaningful way to honor the men and women who have served our country while bringing our school community together in this beautiful new space.
The ceremony began with our Student Ambassadors delivering a heartfelt speech that set the tone for the event. The Blue Ribbon Chorus followed with a powerful performance of the National Anthem as the colors were posted. Two separate flag ceremonies added to the significance of the day.
One of the highlights of the assembly was a question-and-answer session featuring questions submitted by our students. Our honored guests shared their experiences and insights, giving everyone a glimpse into the lives of those who serve.
To wrap up the event, our students presented handmade thank-you cards to the veterans and service members as a small but heartfelt way of expressing our gratitude.
We were so lucky to have these special guests join us:
- Chief Master Sergeant Clarence B. Hutson
- Technical Sergeant Yusuke Yamada
- Petty Officer First Class Adam Jemison
- Staff Sergeant Jessica Gary
- Staff Sergeant Stacy Blaise
- Lieutenant Jennifer Fishbein
A special acknowledgment goes to Mrs. Hutson, who not only helped organize this event but also served in the United States Air Force herself. Her dedication to honoring our veterans and creating this meaningful experience for our students and staff is deeply appreciated.
A big thank-you also goes to Mrs. Blevins for her efforts in making this incredible event possible.
Our first assembly in the new gym was truly one to remember. It wasn’t just about honoring our veterans—it was also a reminder of how important it is to come together as a community to show gratitude and respect. Thank you to everyone who made this event so special!
